A file lives in a spreadsheet, an exchange in a messaging app and the next action in somebody’s memory. A management application often starts with a straightforward need: finding the right information without searching several places.
Boostlab participated in the creation of Darweb.app. The project reflects an approach that also matters to businesses in Belgium: understand the work before deciding which screens to build.
Clarify who does what
Who creates a record? Who can edit it? How does the team recognise something waiting for a response? Start with one common request and follow it from arrival to completion. Keep the fields that support an action, a check or a useful search.
Make room for ordinary exceptions
A request changes owner, a file returns after several weeks or somebody enters the same information twice. These everyday situations deserve attention during design.
